Enjoyable book for both girls and boys

Purchased this book for my daughter to read and I ended up reading the book. I would have liked some black and white pictures to visual some of the story line. So areas were a bit confusing and I had to read over and over the words to understand. The story is about Emmet and his dad Dr. Doyle and dog Apollo coming to Florida from Montana. They meet with Dr. Geaux and her son Calvin. They hear about some thing happening in the Everglades, where the animals and gators are leaving. You meet various characters in the book. The book goes slow in parts and towards the end the book flows faster. The characters of the 2 boys, were enjoyable. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of killings by the Pterogators. But the book was enjoyable. Something about the story lacks. but the book leaves open for the characters to continue in other books. I also feel it's Dr. Newton. But, it can also be Calvin's dad since they never found his body.

I read this in paperback, so here goes.

It's a well-plotted and well formatted book, with large print and some nice illustrations.
What sucked me in was excellent, funny dialog. Not to give away any spoilers, this book is for anyone with an "inner child" who wants to tickle his/her funny-bone, try to guess who-done-it, and come away with a "clean" read. No foul language, nudity, or sex; just an excellent story for all ages. Buy it for your grandchild if you must, but read it yourself first--too much fun to ignore!

Not only a 'MUST READ' but a 'MUST HAVE'.

'The Digital Document' was first loaned to me by a friend, but as soon as I began reading it I had to own it. It is an invaluable reference tool not only for people engaged in the construction and design industries, but any document-intensive work environment, IT professionals and document authors included. I find myself constantly going back to this book for ammunition in the ongoing effort to streamline workplace processes and convert others to a more efficient way of doing business.
And not only that; 'The Digital Document' helped me to first form a comprehensive understanding of the most intrinsic new issues underlying the electronic revolution in the modern workplace. Equipped with this new understanding and the wealth of information provided by this book I cannot help but feel as if I have gained a unique advantage when I see it's premises validated on a day-to-day basis. If you don't own 'The Digital Document', chances are you're missing out.

Uhh...where is the information????

I was actually hoping to find a useful book that would help me implement PDM software, or at least provide guidelines and recommendations. After reading this book, I feel like I could have written it (even though I know next to nothing about the subject).
It is so general, the subject is painted with very broad soft strokes. What about costs, implementation schedules, performance, real-world implementations, difficult release paths, conflicting requirements???
Do *not* spend the money on this book. Seriously, you will be dissapointed. It is hardly worth a fraction of the cost (pick it up used, if you must).

About the Author

Francis K. O. Yuen, DSW, ACSW, is Professor for the Division of Social Work at California State University, Sacramento. He has authored and edited many books, and is a member of several editorial boards for peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Yuen is widely published in the areas of family health social work practice, disability, program evaluation and planning, and services to refugees and immigrants.

Carol B. Cohen, PhD, LCSW-C, is an Associate Professor for the MSW program at Gallaudet University. Deafened as a young adult, Dr. Cohen has spent several decades of her career advocating and providing services for deaf and hard of hearing populations. Her publications and research interests are in disability, deafness, and clinical practice.

Kristine Tower, EdD, MSW, (1951–2005) was an Assistant Professor for the School of Social Work at the University of Nevada, Reno. Her research interests included persons with disabilities, sexuality, school social work, and consumer issues in social work. Dr. Tower was actively involved in disability-related concerns in the community and in local schools through legislative activity, training, advisory committees, assistive technology council, and public education.

Good Without the Extras

This book is a short bio from Charles River Editors with included audio and video that are not supported by Kindle Fire. This said, the book still has merit. The life of Ronald Reagan is described in a straightforward manner. The book is also fairly quick reading, also. Any one interested in politics and history will enjoy it.
