Jewel Society is Jewel Thieves

I am not sure why these books are under two different names. They are already in print under the "Jewel Thieves" name. I can't find any information online as to why they got a new name, nor can I find a way to contact the author. The books are good for young readers and I like that the girls all have a love for some type of learning. The mystery element keeps it exciting.
SOMEWHAT SPOILER ALERT: You have to read the next one because they do not solve the mystery in this one. It appears the author dragged it out over the 4 books - which is great for the author but not so fun for people waiting for the next book to arrive.
You can find copies of these books used in some places under the name "Jewel Thieves" if you are impatient and don't want to wait for the rest to be released.
There is no violence, profanity or anything inappropriate in these books. The plot of school kids hunting down jewel thieves is not realistic, but then again how many books are? These are fiction and are meant to be fun and exciting for kids, which I think the author accomplished here.

This book was pretty good. It reminded me of The Boxcar Children in a lot of ways. I felt like the mystery was well planned and the book moved at a nice pace. The writing was clean and simple, and the characters were entertaining. This series will appeal to most girls ages 8 - 12.
A few things bothered me about the book. The main one was that the dialogue didn't sound realistic to me. The other thing was the abrupt ending. I am a fan of complete stories, even if it's part of a series. This ending was left wide open, with no real resolution.
That being said, this is still a good book with the potential to get even better as the series continues.
